Best stuff to use to charge a mohawk?!

Ok,

Well I have been growing and charging and shaving off mohawks since I was 19 ( before then I was an Aqua-Net kid ;D ) and I thought that I would share a little bit of my insight on what I have used in the past to "Charge" ( that is, to put up for you laymen) a mohawk.

1. Egg Whites and Elmer's Glue Mixture. 50/50. Have to blow dry the shit out of it, but it works pretty good.

2. Lots and lots of hair spray. MUST BE EXTRA HOLD It usually takes me a FULL bottle to properly weatherize a mohawk so that it will not fall due to sweating on stage or rain or beer being spilt on you, or being pissed on, etc.

3. There used to be this shit out there called Hair GLU. It came in a paste and resembled the paste that we all used to eat as children. Kinda hard to work with, but if you have enough time to fuck with it, you get pretty decent results.

4. Spray Tack. Yes, I have used spray tack before ( like the kind that you get at the craft store) in a pinch to charge a mohawk. Works pretty damned good. but you HAVE TO use Dishsoap ( or any soap that has a good degreasing agent) to get it out.

Ok, well I started it, let's see who else has any experiences. C'mon, it can be semen, mustard, whatever worked for you let us know. Knowledge is power so share the wealth, cuz I am broke. ;D

i just used plain ol hair gel on mine. of course, i have very curly hair, so i didn't expect it to stand straight up, anyway. hell, i usually just used water for all the difference it made. damned whitey-fro...

Yeah, I used to use hair gel as well. It seemed to work alright. When my hair got too long to be held together feasibly by conventional means I used to also use pipe cleaners or incense sticks as framework ;D

I knew a guy that used to put little rubberbands from his braces in 1" increments up each liberty spike to hold it up without the use of ANY gel or hair spray ( just a little bit of water at the tip. How inventive!

the best stuff....the brand name...sorry i just cant remember...it was from austraila, it was called bondage hold, it came is a small shallow cup with a hexigon lid, grey, ...shit came out like rummer sement....only wetter.....best stuff ever.....a buddys mom(beaution) gave me some....i geuss it cost the big bucks
